The ODC VLE has now been upgraded from customised Moodle version 3.7 to Moodle version 3.10, which brings several new features and improvements that are beneficial to students and faculty.
New Features for students:
1. Go to top: Enables swift movement to the top of the screen:
2.Download course content: Course content, where allowed by faculty, can now easily be downloaded at the click of a button:
3.Calendar filters: Filter your calendar by month, day or upcoming event:
4.Emojis: Add emojis to messages in forums or from a button in the Atto editor:
5.Clearer reminders: Receive reminders about your activities such as upcoming VLE webinars or assignments:
6.Scrolling timer for assessments: You can now easily see the time remaining time during an assessment with the new quiz timer that scrolls as you move up or down:
New features for faculty:
1.Activity chooser: Easily locate, star and view recommended items in an improved activity chooser:
2. Download course content: Specify when to allow students to download course content:
3. H5P interactive content: Enhanced engagement for students by creating interactive content in Pages, Labels, Books and more (see H5P):
